7 Day Spring Cleanse

It's that time of year again when my body is telling me that it needs to be cleansed of all the winter binge eating. I usually do cleanse the first week of March every year. I do a few throughout the year and this one is a favorite and always works for me. I've taken it to a doctor who approved it FOR ME but that doesn't mean it is for everyone. Feel free to give it a try but I am no doctor. Do this at your own risk!

It's a 7 day diet plan and I think it's extremely easy compared to some of the detox/diets that I have done. We all know I do the Master Cleanse twice a year and that my friends is NO WALK IN THE PARK! This isn't bad...

I usually have a laxative tea every night on this plan and sometimes a salt water cleanse in the morning. This is not part of it so no pressure! You can skip all together!

*Drink lots and lots of water on the cleanse. No coffee or any other beverages.

Day 1- Eat fruit. EXCEPT Bananas ! I try to a lot of melons. Watermelon works the best for me on this day. You can eat fruit as much as you want and anytime you feel hungry.

Day 2- Today is your veggie day. Eat all the veggies you want. You can eat them raw, steamed, anyway you want to cook them. I've grilled them but I mostly eat them raw. I see more benefits this way. You don't want to use seasonings with salt if you are cooking them. This will only cause bloat! For dinner you get a baked potato with butter.

Day 3- You eat all the fruits and veggies you want. Same as day 1 and 2. You don't get a potato today:-/

Day 4- You can eat up to 8 bananas and 8 servings of yogurt. Some people find this day the most difficult but I love yogurt so it's one of my favorites. If you don't do dairy, you can use non dairy yogurts.

Day 5 - You have chicken and tomatoes today. I usually have 6 tomatoes and slice them using them as snacks. When cooking the chicken you can once again use seasonings without salt. Eat as much as you want. Don't go hungry !

Day 6- Eat chicken, turkey, and all the veggies you want. You can get very creative with this day. I have made spaghetti squash with fresh tomato sauce on this day. You can do a chicken stir fry with the veggies. Remember only salt free seasonings!! Try to use lemon or something fresh instead of bottled seasonings if you can

Day 7- the last day and the "miracle soup". You can make this in a crockpot the night before or on the stove.

Recipe- 2 large onions chopped
             1 head of cabbage chopped
             1 green pepper chopped
             5-6 celery stalks chopped
2 -14 ounce cans of diced                  tomatoes
2 packages of Lipton beefy onion mix soup
             4-6 cups of water
Cook on high for 2-3 hours in crockpot

  1. I might try this when I'm no longer breastfeeding! I'm afraid it wouldn't give me enough energy now ☺️
